ABOUT OUR OPERATION:
The Center for Support and Development is located in Rouyn-Noranda (Cadillac sector), in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. We provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and / or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, purchasing and logistics, human resources, communications and technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, PMO, infrastructure and environment).
The Technical Services Department develops concepts related to new projects through technical studies, it shares knowledge and lessons learned (risks and opportunities) throughout the Company, and it provides high-level technical support to continuously improve quality.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Under the supervision of the Superintendent of Technical Services - Metallurgy, the Project Metallurgist is primarily responsible for overseeing metallurgical work involved in the development of various projects, including laboratory and pilot work. He/she supports senior metallurgists in preparing scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies. He/she contributes to developing processes and criteria for geological deposits and ensures their integration into detailed engineering work. In addition, he/she supports AEM's divisions. The candidate is expected to develop his/her expertise within a team of experienced metallurgists and multidisciplinary project teams (geology, mining, infrastructure, environment).

Your Work Schedule
The position is located at the CSD (Support and Development Centre), 60 km from Val-d'Or and 50 km from Rouyn-Noranda. There is a possibility of working a few days from another AEM office, as well as telecommuting. The schedule is daytime, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), with the possibility of a 5-2 4-3 schedule.

- Develop metallurgical test programs and required specific study definitions (mineralogy, crushing and grinding, gravimetry, flotation, cyanidation, water treatment, etc.), suited for the specific needs of evaluated or supporting projects;
- Identify and schedule material and technical requirements to establish budget allocation for continued development of selected projects;
- Develop project planning, draft minutes, follow-up and progress reports, etc.;
- Identify and select samples and groups of samples for testing, studies and support;
- Follow up and analyze results;
- Develop flow charts, design criteria and metallurgical balances;
- Participate in supervision and control of bulk ore milling or piloting phases;
- Participate in selection and research of new or used key equipment involving the metallurgical performance of the process;
- Conduct literary research to improve technical expertise and industrial practices, in order to optimize research work and develop processes suited to projects under evaluation, or to support existing divisions.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mining Engineering with specialization in ore processing;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar tasks;
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
- Proficiency in software programs such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
- Fluency in written and spoken French;
- Fluency in English and Spanish is an asset;
- Autonomy, sense of responsibility, team spirit and versatility;
- Curiosity and critical thinking;
- Strong analytical and synthesizing skills;
- Effective time and priority management;
- Ability to interact with people from different cultures;
- Committed to confidentiality, quality of work and results;
- Available and interested in travelling to the company's project and operation sites in Canada, Finland and Mexico.
