ABOUT OUR OPERATION:
Agnico Eagle is always looking for new talented team members to join our Nunavut mining operations. We have been operating at Meadowbank, our first Low Arctic mine, near Baker Lake for over nine years. The mine produced its three millionth ounce of gold in 2018. 2019 marked the last year of production at the Meadowbank mine, and has since transitioned to process ore from the Amaruq satellite deposit. With the official opening of the Amaruq Whale Tail Project in August 2019, the project is now referred to as the Meadowbank Complex.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Exploration Geology Coordinator, the Junior Exploration Geologist is part of the Geology department and collaborates with other departments of the mine. She/He will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

- Description of diamond drill core as requested by the Exploration Geology Coordinator;
- Ensure compliance with the QA/QC standards;
- Participate in the day to day follow-up of Diamond drills;
- Data entry;
- Any other tasks requested by the Exploration Geology Coordinators.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor's Degree in Geology;
- 1-2 years of experience in Exploration;
- Mining experience is an asset;
- Knowledge of DHLogger/Fusion softwares is an asset;
- Knowledge of Datamine Studio RM is an asset;
- Knowledge of Deswik is an asset;
- Adaptability and autonomy competencies;
- Experience working in a multicultural environment;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint;
- Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written). Selected candidates must attain a passing mark on the SPEEXX English language assessment.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; flights departing from all communities in the Kivalliq region, Mirabel or Val-d'Or, Quebec.
