ABOUT OUR OPERATION:

Agnico Eagle is always looking for new talented team members to join our Nunavut mining operations. Meliadine is located just northwest of Rankin Inlet, a small coastal town on the shores of Hudson Bay. Commercial production began at Meliadine in mid-May 2019 and the mine officially opened at the end of June. This mine is our largest gold deposit in terms of mineral resources and we expect to operate it for at least 14 years. The site features a power plant and processing facilities, as well as a complete camp complex.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Process Plant Maintenance Supervisor, the Reliability Millwright is part of the Process Plant Department and collaborates with other teams such as Operations, Metallurgy and Site Services. He/she will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
  • Perform vibration data collection and implementation, follow up on critical equipment and thermal analysis;
  • Perform oil sampling, oil changes, and oil analysis;
  • Perform greasing routine and optimization;
  • Assist/support the reliability specialist in the troubleshooting and analysis of equipment failure;
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance (inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, etc.) on all the process plant equipment, meeting any maintenance needs;
  • Ensure that all equipment is de-energized and locked before commencing your work;
  • Evaluate requirements for the assigned work and ensure that they are complete in terms of tools, procedures, materials, etc.;
  • Maintain a clean working area: store safely tools used for the work and return unused materials to the warehouse;
  • Fill out and close Work Orders;
  • Apply the best Millwright practices in the everyday job;
  • Follow up on personal training requirements to ensure all is up to date.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Must have a Millwright certification or equivalence;
  • 5 years of experience in mining & process plant maintenance;
  • Experience/knowledge in technical aspect of lubrication and vibration is an asset;
  • Versatile skillset on all aspects of the fixed plant maintenance trade;
  • Possess the necessary physical requirements to perform the job duties;
  • Must have the capacity, ability and a mindset on professionalism and will evolve consistently in trouble shooting, data analysis, preventive/predictive maintenance;
  • Interest in gaining new skills and training;
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong work ethic and a positive attitude;
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written). Selected candidates must attain a passing mark on a Speexx English language assessment.

Your Work Schedule

Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; flights departing from all communities in the Kivalliq region, Mirabel or Val-d'Or, Quebec.
