ABOUT OUR OPERATION:

Agnico Eagle has three active properties in Nunavut. The Meadowbank open-pit mine, in operation since 2010, the Amaruq satellite deposit, which is 50 km northwest of Meadowbank and the Meliadine underground mine, in operation since 2019. To support the Nunavut projects, Agnico Eagle has staff based out of 2 regional offices, located in Val d'Or and Mirabel, Quebec.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the People Acquisition Superintendent, the Recruitment & Attraction Specialist will perform his/her duties as a member of the Recruitment Department and collaborate with other departments of the division. The incumbent will play a key role in developing attraction strategies and pipeline for the organization's future hiring needs using their relationship-building, social media, and technology skills to impact the company's success. He/she will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
  • Develop and lead a national student recruitment strategy that will strengthen recruitment efforts;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a network of universities, colleges and other educational institutions' internship/Co-Op departments;
  • Optimize and improve student recruitment process considering multi-divisional complexity;
  • Define and develop opportunities to improve campus recruiting by staying up to date on trends;
  • Develop opportunities and strategies for attracting more individuals to the mining sector and to the organization;
  • Provide input and implement a variety of diversity & inclusion attraction initiatives;
  • Work in collaboration with communications team to develop and implement the Agnico Eagle employer brand and recruitment marketing materials (campaigns, presentations, videos, job descriptions, etc.);
  • Determine and manage organization's attendance of all recruitment events: various professional events and fairs, campus career fairs, and employer information sessions;
  • Promote participation of company representatives at upcoming recruiting events and engage with event attendees before, during and after events;
  • Support team with recruitment files, as required;
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, etc.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Industrial Relations, or equivalent;
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in a similar recruitment & attraction role;
  • Must be fully bilingual in both English and French;
  • Have a good understanding and be comfortable with various social media platforms;
  • Sound knowledge of candidate attraction methods and area of expertise (market status, trends, best practices);
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
  • Integrity and confidentiality;
  • Ability to travel for professional and campus recruitment events across Canada, as well as to various mines sites as required;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Your Work Schedule
  • Schedule: 5 days of work, followed by 2 days for rest; a combination of tele-working with presence at our offices in either Val d'Or or Mirabel, QC. Occasional visits to site may also be required.
