YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

The primary function of this role is to assist in the planning and implementation of corporate IT Cloud solutions on a global scale.

The Cloud Infrastructure Specialist leverages good infrastructure engineering practices to ensure consistency of operations across all IT cloud services.

The Cloud Specialist role is responsible for maintaining, developing and marketing various Cloud Infrastructure services as well as overseeing Office 365 services, cloud based development, automation job, reporting platform support, backup solutions such as Azure native backup and Veeam, large scale application support, project management and maintaining associated security and SOX compliancy. Technologies include Azure IaaS, PaaS, XaaS services, Active Directory (Azure and Onprem), Windows Server, various cloud and onprem SQL Server, Microsoft 365 suite of applications including Exchange, SharePoint and Teams Online, Intune, Power platform, PowerBI, Azure Stack and Azure.

The individual must understand planning disaster recovery-based systems which include Active Directory and Azure AD infrastructure. The Cloud Infrastructure Specialist will need to present and market Agnico IT cloud infrastructure to global departments. The individual needs to be comfortable presenting and training others.

The individual must be able to work with a development team and take over existing cloud devOps deployments therefore an understanding of Microsoft development tools such as VS, C#.Net, Powershell scripting and development experience in MS Power Apps is important.

Major: Cloud Services Management
  • Ensure the Cloud Platform & Services are designed and implemented to support Private and Public infrastructure initiatives and are aligned with the overall business strategies and priorities.
  • Demonstrate hand-on knowledge of Private and Public Cloud Computing especially Azure and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Designing, Provisioning and administration using best practices for enterprise customer across multiple cloud offering (VMware Private Cloud, Amazon Web Services and/or Azure).
  • Play a key role in advancing the cloud (IaaS) eco-system and culture of technical excellence.
  • Ensure all technical procedures (Installation, Configuration, Run books) are documented and updated and are contributing to the maintenance of operational standards.
  • Automation of infrastructure services and system administration task through Azure automation
  • Lead & Deliver the Infrastructure capability transformation for Agnico's computing environment, with focus on user-experience, resilience, performance, availability and total cost of ownership.
  • Lead the customer facing Cloud Infrastructure & operations for all Company products, with high availability, superior performance and 24x7 support.
  • Lead & Deliver operational excellence with focus on the service management approach to achieve agility, speed, scale and efficiency.
  • Partner with global IT and various departmental teams to architect and design the infrastructure for user facing services.
  • Implement a Service Monitoring capability to proactively address the operational issues for all infrastructure assets
  • Lead annual strategic planning, tactical operation planning, the development of service improvement, and contingency operation plans including BC/DR.
  • Lead annual budget planning for infrastructure assets and services.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and coaching for all staff and foster a culture of accountability, innovation and team building.
  • Create project plans and meet timelines specified when working on projects and keep all related diagrams and documentation current.
  • Develop, document and test disaster recovery plans for shared storage solutions and the related data.
  • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network/server component inventory and related documentation.
  • Manage, support and maintain all web-based services provided by the IT department, including external and internal sites
  • Ensure compliance to SOX 404 IT requirements.
  • Ensure compliance to SOX IT Policies and Procedures.
  • Make recommendations to improve the SOX 404 compliance process.
  • Liaise with third-party support.
  • Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future needs.
  • Work on special projects as required by the Director of IT Services.
  • Be able to provide senior level support to the entire internal IT Team.
  • Provide training sessions to all members of the internal IT team.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor's degree in computer studies or equivalent experience
  • A strong experience, understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 is a must.
  • A strong experience, understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform and all its IaaS, SaaS, PaaS and XaaS offerings is a must.
  • A strong understanding of Azure networking, express route and security configurations is a must.
  • Must have strong knowledge of server equipment and software such as VMWare, Active Directory, WSUS, SCOM, SCCM, SCVMM and Hyper-V.
  • Must have working knowledge of SQL 2012/2016, SAN storage technologies, HP hardware and backup solutions (HP Data Protector/Veeam), DNS, DHCP, Clustering and load balancing services
  • Must have full understanding, administration and marketing capabilities with Exchange online, OneDrive, MS Teams, Office Online, MS Planner and SharePoint Online.
  • Must have full understanding and hands on experience with Data Warehousing and Visualization tools such as PowerBI
  • Must be familiar with IIS and Web Application setup
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be comfortable presenting in front of large audiences and holding multiple training sessions for both IT professionals and standard users.
  • MCSE and/or Office 365 Administration and Cloud Master Class Certifications
  • The ability to prioritize, focus and problem solve in a demanding environment.
  • Mining background is a plus.
  • French and/or Spanish language is an asset
