The Center for Support and Development is located in Rouyn-Noranda (Cadillac sector), in Abitibi-TĂ©miscamingue. We provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and / or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, purchasing and logistics, human resources, communications and technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, PMO, infrastructure and environment).

The Technical Services Department develops concepts related to new projects through technical studies, it shares knowledge and lessons learned (risks and opportunities) throughout the Company, and it provides high-level technical support to continuously improve quality.


Reporting to the Business Applications Manager, the systems administrator works as part of the support team of the Business Applications Services and in close collaboration with other members of the IT Team. He his responsible for managing & administrating the critical business applications systems for all the mine sites of the company.

  • Respond to support requests from the users for JD Edwards, Hyperion, Ecosys, Docusphere, Primavera, various reporting tools and other relative business applications systems;
  • Keep all systems up to date with recent patches and fixes;
  • Manage applications accesses and security;
  • Ensure all changes are tracked and follow the SOX compliance standards;
  • Participate in all major upgrade activities;
  • Troubleshoot problems and find solutions, modify configurations and implement improvements to the systems;
  • Prioritize support activity and incident resolution based on competing business requirements with full use of Helpdesk (C2) for event tracking and resolution;
  • Participate in decision making for business applications systems, installations, and upgrades;
  • Participate in implementing new software when required;
  • Prepare and maintain system documentation for future referral;
  • Manage external consultant work on the system, when necessary;
  • Work on third party interface as required.


  • College degree in IT or equivalent;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field;
  • Billingual (English/French) required;
  • Knowledge of SQL is an asset;
  • Knowledge in application architecture, systems analysis and design, requirements analysis and definition, development methodologies, installation and maintenance of applications, systems and user acceptance testing and end user training.

Your Work Schedule

The information technology group has offices in Preissac, Rouyn-Noranda and Val-d´Or. The candidate's place of work will be to determined. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, daytime (40 hours per week) with the possibility of a 5-2 4-3 schedule.
