YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

We are recruiting for a HR Projects Specialist to work at our corporate head office in downtown Toronto and assist in the support of our HR Integration project. The role is critical to actively support the HR function by managing overall HR Process and Continuous Improvement Projects within Human Resources Department.

Reporting to the HR Systems Manager, the HR Projects Specialist will collaborate with the HR Regional team, the Corporate HR team and the HR Systems teams to deliver the HR Integration Systems project and support year-end compensation activities.

The project will be run in 3 phases and the key responsibilities by phase will be:
Phase One: Current State HR Process Mapping
  • Overall responsibility for the governance and documentation of current HR processes, process maps, documentation, knowledgebase documentation.
  • Coordinate HR current state process reviews with regional HR business partners to optimize efficient application of processes, procedures and standards.
  • Support year-end reporting using SQL server and Powerbi.
Phase two: Future State HR Process Mapping
  • Design the future state HR processes based on the current state HR processes mapping.
  • Coordinate HR process reviews to optimize efficient application of processes, procedures and standards.
  • Develop gap analysis based on the current and future state process.
  • Monitors end-user feedback, process changes and systems development efforts to facilitate continuing improvement of training and documentation.
  • Analyzes HR Future processes with HR regional teams. Identifies supporting technology needs, and documents new processes.
Phase three: Implementation HR Processes with recommended systems
  • Provides recommended path forward for all HR Functions.
  • Works with IT and HR teams to implement net new HR processes to the recommended systems.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Strong Project management skills
  • Highly organized and responsive, with ability to work to SLAs and tight deadlines.
  • Sound stakeholder management and communication skills
  • 3-5 years of experience on HR related projects with process and change management.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a process engineer.
  • Excellent working knowledge with MS Office applications (MS Excel in particular) and Visio.
  • Ability to write queries in SQL Server and integrate with PowerBi
  • Strong organizational, follow-up and priority-setting skills to handle multiple tasks/projects and to work independently.
  • Good interpersonal skill and ability to work in a multicultural/global and geographically spread organization (Canada, Mexico, Finland, Sweden).
  • Systematic thinker, data and analytical abilities.
  • Experience with process design, analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to interface with management, users, and information technology professionals to solve complex business problems.
  • Availability to travel in Canada and abroad.
  • Languages: English (mandatory). French, Spanish or Finnish an asset.
  • Knowledge of:
    • HR functional concepts as they pertain to all HR processes and impact in other corporate processes (Accounting, Maintenance, Health and Safety, etc.).
    • Process and data analysis practices and guidelines.
    • Global HR processes, practices and technologies.
  • Experience in:
    • Previous experience using HRIS mandatory. Previous work with JD Edwards/SAP SuccessFactors is an asset.
    • Project Management or Change Management practices.
    • Process Mapping and Gap Analysis is necessary.
  • Analyzing complex process from multiple perspectives and providing optimization recommendations.
  • SQL server and Power bi experience is necessary.
