YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

The HR/Payroll Systems Specialist is responsible in providing support to Payroll and Human Resources users as well as leading the efforts for analyzing, implementing, supporting and upgrading JD Edwards, Taleo, Fusion, and SAP software's in accordance with the Company's HRIT roadmap and based on the Payroll and Human Resources committee requests.

Reporting to the Manager, HR Systems the incumbent is responsible for communicating and ensuring interruptions in system availability and managing the implementation of all major upgrades, and systems interfaces. A strong technical background with experience in computer science or IT disciplines, as well as previous exposure to HR process automation, is required to design, develop, and test modifications to the systems.
  • Act as a Subject-matter expert / leader of JDE's Payroll and Human Resources modules
    • Understand HR needs and provide solutions
    • Manage development, documentation, test and implementations phases
    • Manage software patches and upgrades
    • Provide support and training to Payroll and HR users
    • Debug and solve system issues
    • Produce "one time" reports for HR
    • Validate data and fix error
  • Act as a Subject-matter expert / leader for all HR and Payroll interfaces
    • Analyze the possibilities between JDE and other third-party systems
    • Manage development, documentation, test and implementations phases
    • Manage patches and upgrades
    • Provide support and training to users
    • Validate data and fix error
  • Act as a Subject-matter expert / leader for Taleo recruitment module
    • Understand HR needs and provide solutions
    • Manage development, documentation, test and implementations phases
    • Manage software patches and upgrades
    • Provide support to HR users
    • Debug and solve system issues
    • Create reports
    • Manage and create system roles


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Minimum 5 years of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Payroll and HR experience
  • 3 to 5 years of related systems support experience in a multi-platform environment in HR applications management (preferably Taleo and/or Oracle HCM Talent Management Suite).
  • Experience with development of Functional Specifications for modifications and Interfaces
  • Experience with development of reports using BI tool
  • JD Edwards programming and functional experience (required).
  • Work experience in mining industry (asset)
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to recognize problems, recommend and implement solutions
  • Ability to create clear, concise, and complete functional specifications for new modifications, workflow, and interfaces.
  • Ability and desire to be proactive not just reactive; a questioning mindset
  • Be well organized and possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently
