WHAT DOES AGNICO EAGLE VALUE?

Reporting to the Manager Global Compensation, the Compensation Partner is accountable for the management of the compensation processes in line with our corporate policies while supporting and building/maintaining an effective relationship with regional HR teams in the implementation of Compensation programs and best practices.

Manage the following compensation programs and systems:
  • Year End Bonus Process in line with AEM STIP and AEM LTIP;
  • Annual Salary Increases;
  • Salary Progression Process;
  • Annually review and analyze total rewards to peers;
  • Participate in various compensation surveys; analyze and benchmark survey results and make recommendations to ensure continued effectiveness;
  • Complete job evaluations;
  • Develop and/or update policies, procedures, and guidelines in relation to total rewards programs as well as other HR policies and procedures;
  • Management and administration of the Compensation Tool: Partner with the HR Systems team and the provider to configure the system to manage the AEM Compensation processes;
  • Participate as a member of the HRIS implementation team and owner of relevant processes; and
  • Ad hoc Compensation modeling and analysis in line with the integration of mergers/acquisitions into the AEM structure.

Strategy & Projects
  • Support the Manager and Director in the development and execution of the global compensation strategy, by providing research and analysis on internal data and keeping up to date on legislative changes and best practices;
  • When required, may lead or support projects to advance the execution of the overall compensation strategy; and

Process Improvement
  • Process Improvement on an annual basis, responsible for identifying opportunities to further improve the efficiency of our processes and programs, taking into consideration feedback from regional HR team, business priorities and best practices in compensation management.


ABOUT OUR OPERATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance or related field relevant to the position;
  • 5-7 years minimum of hands-on experience working in a similar field;
  • Certified or working towards the CCP/CHRL/CHRP;
  • HRIS experience is required;
  • Experience working for global companies;
  • Familiar with job evaluation and market salary submission;
  • Strong teamwork/collaboration and project/process management skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy is critical;
  • Advanced analytical skills;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint;
  • Comfortable working with flexible and fluid approach to compensation management;
  • Adaptable to continuous change;
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity;
  • Knowledge of the Mining industry will be an asset;
  • Ability to communicate in English;
  • French and Spanish considered an asset.

  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
  • Location: Flexible
