The Opportunity: Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. has a new exciting opportunity for a Stores Person at the Red Chris Mine.

Working a rotation of 14-shifts on and 14-shifts off, this position is fly-in/fly-out.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for their safety and the safety of their co-workers while efficiently managing deliveries of materials and consumables and maintaining stock levels.

More specifically, the Stores Person will:

• Scope, order, track and receipt any required materials and consumables for the underground operation
• Record and track all goods being sent offsite
• Utilize procurement software to maintain database records
• Load and unload Transport trucks
• Maintain suitable stock levels for all stocked items as directed by the Project manager
• Weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly stocktaking
• Liaise with suppliers to organize quotes for mining and maintenance departments
• Replenish office and workshop PPE stores

Skills and Experience:

• Commitment to working safely while ensuring the safety of others
• Minimum High School diploma or equivalency
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working in warehousing/inventory management
• Experience in underground mining preferred
• Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
• Strong communications skills, verbal and written, and must be computer/systems literate
• Be flexible and willing to assist with a variety of tasks as required
• Operator forklift or tele-handler
• Ability to learn new tasks quickly
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
