Barminco is one of the world's largest, hard rock mining companies with over three decades of experience. We are currently developing over 120 kilometres per year, and mining above 10 million tonnes on our multi-million-dollar fleet of underground mining equipment. With new projects forecast, this will see Barminco and AUMS grow to over 5,100 employees in 2021, across 25 projects in seven countries.

We are looking for an experienced shift supervisor to join our team on a 7:7 FIFO roster from Perth. With support from our operations team, you will be a visible and respected site leader. With a sharp focus on safety, you will lead and enable your team to achieve performance targets.

These positions will be working at the Wallaby mining operations here WA. Our onsite team delivers both mining and diamond drill services to our existing client. When you join the Barminco team you are not just joining a leader in underground mining, but a company with global career opportunities.

Key Requirements;
  • Current WA Underground Shift Supervisor Certificate is essential. - or the ability to transfer your NSW ticket
  • Ensure mining operations are conducted in a safe manner, and any safety issues are promptly reported to the underground Foreman and Site Project Manager
  • Perform the daily supervision of the working areas of the mine, in accordance with all relevant acts and regulations
  • Conduct daily work planning and toolbox meetings
  • Liaise with any contractors on site, ensuring their work is coordinated with other mining activities
  • Valid Manual Australian Driver's Licence
  • National Police clearance (within 6 months) or the ability to obtain one.

The successful candidates will be required to meet our pre-employment criteria including drug and alcohol screening prior to an Offer of Employment being made.
