The Opportunity:
Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. has new exciting opportunities for Light Vehicle Mechanics at the Red Chris Mine in northern British Columbia.

Working a rotation of 14-shifts on and 14-shifts off, this position is fly-in/fly-out.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for their safety and the safety of their co-workers while maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting light vehicles and support equipment.

More specifically, Light Vehicle Mechanics will:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mining pick-up trucks, underground personnel carriers, and other support equipment
• Perform Preventative Maintenance inspections and Preventative Maintenance service
• Document reports detailing work performed and problems diagnosed

Skills and Experience:

• Commitment to working safely while ensuring the safety of others
• Minimum High School Diploma
• Minimum 5 years of experience working underground as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
• Red Seal Automotive certification preferred
• Must have own tools
• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while still being a contributing member of a team
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
