Position Description:

Nevada Gold Mines Greenfield Talent Program (GTP) is an engaging and practical program focused on hiring and developing new university graduates into future leaders. Providing a period of heightened transition from academia to mining. The GTP program allows new graduates to cycle through the various positions in their department to become a well-rounded individual in their field of study. During the 18-month program, the new grad will work in various Supply Chain departments. After completing the rotation, the grad will shadow supervisors managing a crew for 3 weeks to observe and gain an understanding of the coordination and overseeing of acquisition, production, and distribution of company goods while learning leadership behaviors.

  • Primary supervisor will be responsible to provide feedback after each area rotation


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, supply chain, accounting or related field or equivalent experience required
  • Zero (0) to One (1) years' experience, mining preferred
  • Excellent safety record with the ability to demonstrate safety leadership required
  • Team leadership, problem solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Ariba, SAP, Ellipse, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio or equivalent enterprise level software packages preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy (Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio, MS Project)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
  • Strong analytical and communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Make arithmetical computations rapidly and accurately.

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018. Three of these assets are Tier One gold mines: Barrick's Cortez; the combination of Barrick's Goldstrike and Newmont Goldcorp's Carlin; and the combination of Barrick's Turquoise Ridge and Newmont Goldcorp's Twin Creeks.
