POSITION PURPOSE

The Pinto Valley Mine Senior Recruiter shapes the culture of the company by attracting and engaging top talent to meet current and future business needs. The ideal candidate is lively and outgoing with a knack for knowing people, has an eye for detail, is a great listener, builds strong professional relationships, and has a proven record of high-quality results. The Senior Recruiter collaborates with leaders and subject matter experts in strategic workforce planning, sourcing and networking strategies, and employee engagement activities. The Senior Recruiter will ensure talent acquisition strategies comply with company goals, policies, procedures, as well as federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with department leaders subject matter experts to identify current & future workforce needs. Utilize industry best practices and innovative thinking in workforce planning.
  • Develop creative solutions and sourcing strategies to address current and future workforce needs. Develop targeted sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill positions. Leverage social media, internet posting boards, and professional networks to source top talent.
  • Create engaging content that tells the story of why people choose and stay with Pinto Valley Mine. Collaborate with stakeholders to post the right content to the right places at the right time to boost attraction and engagement.
  • Develop stakeholder communication plans for talent acquisition activities to ensure internal and external stakeholders are engaged and supportive of talent management strategies, programs, and initiatives. Actively seek and incorporate stakeholder feedback to boost buy-in.
  • Design full-cycle recruitment process including job assessments, requisitions, candidate screening criteria, and selection.
  • Lead the onboarding process, including New Hire Orientation and first year activities to support employee engagement and retention.
  • Serve as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations. Participate energetically in community recruitment events and networking events.
  • Maintain professional certifications, industry memberships, and other professional development related to human resources and talent management. Utilize innovative strategies to support organizational talent management strategies.
  • Measure and evaluate recruitment and engagement strategies. Gather data, analyze information, and produce accurate, on-time reports. Evaluate program effectiveness and proactively make suggestions to support continuous improvement. Maintain cost analysis of recruitment efforts.
  • Coach peers in best practices, winning strategies, and effective resources for building and maintaining excellent Talent Acquisitions systems and processes. Provide formal and informal training to peers and stakeholders as needed.
  • Act as a Team Lead in Employee Services, to include delegation of authority for the Superintendent Talent.
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure all talent management strategies, programs, and initiatives are well-aligned with organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Professional certification is preferred (SHRM, AIRS, or related certification).

Knowledge and Experience
  • At least 10 years of recruitment-related work experience is required.
  • Demonstrated mastery of Applicant Tracking Systems (ADP and SAP experience is an asset).
  • Strong Candidate Management skills.
  • Strong Boolean Search skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team building, coaching, organizational and effective negotiating skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with online job search websites.
  • Ability to successfully leverage social media platforms for recruitment and engagement activities.
  • Ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Ability to deliver results on tight deadlines.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of the organization to achieve department and company goals.
  • Ability to produce accurate, on-time reports and analysis related to recruitment efforts.
  • Working knowledge of the mining industry including demonstrated experience in mining industry recruiting is an asset.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to stand and walk for short durations, including walking up and down stairs and across uneven surfaces.
  • This role is generally 90% office environment and 10% field environment.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for up to an hour at a time and lift up to 25 pounds.


The weekly schedule for this position is four (4)10-hour days or five (5) 8-hour days.
