Description

Primarily responsible for assisting Tax Provision Manager with preparation of the Company's US based income tax provisions using OneSource Tax Provision software application. Additional primary responsibility involves assisting with financial reporting and disclosure of Company's worldwide consolidated income tax provision. Secondary responsibilities involve assisting other members of corporate tax department with process technology and tax technical assistance.
  • Prepare and compile tax calculations used in the U.S. federal and state monthly and quarterly income tax provision (actual and forecasted) using OneSource software applications. Includes analysis of uncertain tax positions, preparation of necessary journal entries and account balance reconciliation.
  • Assist Tax Provision Manager in consolidation of Company's worldwide income tax provision and related reporting and disclosure requirements within US GAAP based financial statements.
  • Maintain and support Company databases including OneSource platform applications and SharePoint.
  • Assist with SOX 404 control testing on key U.S. tax calculations and processes.
  • Assist other members in the corporate tax department with tax technical research
  • Assist other members in the corporate tax department with tax technology and process design.
  • Perform other duties as required


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, and at least four (4) years of experience in Tax and/or Accounting; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and two (2) years of experience as an Accountant for a Big 4 public accounting firm
  • Working knowledge of ASC 740
  • Experience with U.S. income tax rules and regulations, including emphasis in the area of corporate consolidations
  • Experience with OneSource (Tax Provision, UTP and Workpapers), Adobe and Microsoft Tools (SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams & Outlook).
  • Proficient in use of BNA, RIA, CCH and other tax and accounting research tools.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Accounting or Tax
  • CPA designation highly preferred
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion, Corptax, Alteryx, Business Objects, Blackline software applications.

  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator
  • Occasionally work may be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting
  • Must be able to frequently, sit, stand, and walk
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
