Please note: This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations. This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, New Hampshire, Michigan, Illinois and New York. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the position shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.

Description

Responsible for leading the Power BI center of excellence and contract resources in the development of business intelligence solutions in Power BI and other tools. An expert in data visualization and dashboard develop, personally design and build solutions as well as coach and guide others. Make site visits to provide coaching sessions.
  • Lead the Power BI Center of Excellence. Pursue value by collaborating with business partners to understand requirements, coaching and mentoring team members to deliver solutions, demonstrating effective use by designing and delivering examples that can be leveraged by others.
  • Aim high by creating and revising standard operating procedures for the effective use of the Power BI environment. Owns and leads the maintenance of the Power BI Governance document and building/curating training materials.
  • Develop and coach team members and business professions in the effective use of Power BI and other BI tools in the organization. Deliver regular coaching and training sessions on the use of Power BI.
  • Continuously learn and apply new skills by staying abreast of Power BI features and functions and demonstrating by developing proof of concept products.
  • Ensure key products are visible and easily accessible by enhancing and maintaining the Enterprise Dashboard Portal and related dashboard product documentation.
  • Perform other duties as requested.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field, and five (5) years of experience in the information services, including four (4) years of experience with assigned area technologies.
  • Knowledge of requirements development, requirements analysis and operations management.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and, seven (7) years of experience in information services with (7) years of progressive experience working in a Business Intelligence environment.
  • Expert in data visualization and dashboard development.
  • Experience delivering presentations and demonstrating features to large groups.
  • Expert SQL skills and ability to work with large scale relational databases like Snowflake or Teradata.

Criteria/Conditions:
  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator. Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.
