Provide training in all aspects of ore flow maintenance and troubleshooting of ore flow systems throughout all maintenance groups at PTFI. The position is a hands-on assignment and will require the incumbent to actively train and mentor the national non-staff workforce to increase their skill sets in ore flow maintenance.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Work in all maintenance areas at PTFI and assist in maintenance ore flow systems while teaching national employees the proper techniques for maintenance.

2. Work hands-on with the national staff workforce to transfer knowledge and teach best practices.

3. Review maintenance programs and implement needed changes.

4. Assist in the development of action plans for better reliability and diagnosing problematic ore flow issues within PTFI work areas.

5. Review Preventative Maintenance programs for site ore flow systems and implement recommended changes.

6. Ensure and encourage engagement with all ore flow maintenance employees so that the incumbent is viewed as an expert and a reliable source who is available and called upon when needed.

7. Support maintenance groups in the advancement of national employees with continued mentoring, skills and knowledge transfer, and team building.

8. Constantly reinforce the best safety practices according to PTFI standards and ensure all employees are informed, trained, and aware of the hazards associated with ore flow systems.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of experience in ore flow systems, OR Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in ore flow systems.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of Hydraulic Systems.
  • Hydraulic theory and practices, trade classes preferred.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Teaching and mentoring capability and experience.
  • Emotional intelligence.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written) and willing to learn Bahasa.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical skills in ore flow maintenance.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Ability to think under stressful, adverse conditions.
  • Teamwork and negotiation skills.
  • PTFI mandatory skills including safety, training, leadership.
