Provide technical expertise to overall process of defining, negotiating, drafting and execution of all Concentrating areas in development and implementation of Risk Management System and to ensure that the company safety and operational targets are met. Develop and institute contractor management processes in order to ensure the services described within complex contracts are executed as described within the contract.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical contract expertise relative to planning, analyzing, reviewing and evaluating all services to be outsourced and directly negotiate terms, conditions, rates and PTFI provided support functions with relevant parties (e.g., contractors, end user department, etc.) to ensure the satisfactory of end user within determined plan, schedule, allocated budget and high quality.

2. Provide technical guidance in the preparation of high-risk international contracts and provide technical expertise for selected tender packages.

3. Provide a technical review and assess risk, for high value/risk contracts completed by the group.

4. Facilitate and provide guidance for tenders dealing with high value and risk contracts to ensure that upcoming specified services carried out by contractors match the quality requirements and cost constraints attached to the service.

5. Provide technical expertise with regard to international contracting and ensure compliance with international laws and GOI regulations for offshore service contracts.

6. Analyze, review, evaluate and provide technical guidance relative to contractor selection and placement in coordination with Contracts team pertaining to obtain the best decision, fair value, and minimize the risk to the company according to the company policy and procedures.

7. Analyze and review contract recommendation and cost analysis for contracts to provide well rounded information to senior management prior to execution of a contract.

8. Provide technical guidance relative to the preparation of all initial contract counter claims for rebuttal or counter assessment of contractor claims when necessary in order to ensure accurate data and/or information.

9. Review, evaluate and offer process improvements relative to the control contract administration management system in order to support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain work plan in compliance with the determined objectives, goals, trends and future needs of the Contract department.

10. Develop, establish and maintain effective business relationship and communication with key personnel of End-Users and Contractors under scope of responsibility in coordination with Contract Compliance Section to improve quality of service and cost.

11. Monitor, control and promote safety and environmental policy and procedure to the entire staff to ensure the safety and environmental policies are implemented and zero accident.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining/Engineering/Business with at least ten (10) years of working experience in mining industry or related area.
  • Five (5) years of international contracting experience.
  • Three (3) years of software licensing experience.
  • Advanced working knowledge and background in business analysis, procurement, supply chain management, contract negotiation skills, financial and cost analysis, mining operations, legal and tax matters.
  • Excellent contract negotiation skills.
  • Excellent contract drafting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written) and willing to learn Bahasa.
  • Other PTFI mandatory competencies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Mining/Engineering/Business.
