Round Mountain is an open-pit mine located in Nevada, one of the best mining jurisdictions in the world. The mine uses conventional open-pit mining methods and processes ore by mill and heap leach.

Job Description

Under the direction of the Controller, this position is responsible for the processing of Accounts Payable and providing general clerical support to the Finance department in the areas assigned within the scope of responsibility while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross' values.

Job Responsibilities

1. Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services.
2. Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
3. Prepare and enter invoices into system.
4. Process reports as needed.
5. Manage the weekly check run.
6. Prepare manual checks as and when required.
7. Helps develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above.
8. Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct.
9. Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management.
10. Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance.
11. Works without risk or harm to self and others.
12. Punctuality and regular attendance required.
13. Troubleshoot and problem solve.
14. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

1. Familiarity with processes and controls (Sarbanes Oxley) related to the Procure to Pay process is highly desired.
2. Must have at least one year of clerical experience.
3. Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
4. General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of milling and maintenance operations.
5. Working knowledge and skill with P.C. utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
6. Microsoft Office software required and JDE experience is preferred.
7. Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
8. Strong problem solving skills required.
9. Ability to work independently and also as a member of the finance team.
10. Demonstrate strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills.
11. Basic office clerical, administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
12. Good time management: the ability to prioritize, organize, and balance a diverse task workload.
13. Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis.
14. Requires valid driver's license.
