Job Description
The Recruitment Advisor is responsible for developing an understanding of the corporate office, various mine sites and regional offices workforce planning needs to develop strategies to attract and hire best-in-class talent for the company. Is responsible to manage the end-to-end recruitment process and will liaise with all stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure client and candidate satisfaction. Will coach and advise management and local human resources on best practices and look for ways to continuously improve recruitment delivery standards.
The Recruitment Advisor will be the lead for Campus Recruitment for the corporate office and oversee the recruitment for our summer internship program (Gold Rush)
Job Responsibilities
The Recruitment Advisor is responsible for developing an understanding of the corporate office, various mine sites, and regional offices workforce planning needs to develop strategies to attract and hire best-in-class talent for the company.
Study, interpret, and advise management and local human resources on workforce plans, human capital recruitment strategies, and current and future market conditions
Act as a trusted advisor to the hiring community and the local human resources function on sourcing strategies for recruiting expatriate and local new hires from the global market
Interpret internal expatriate employment demands and translate them into timely, results-driven action items that satisfy service delivery targets (i.e. Time to Hire and Cost per Hire)
Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts to identify and source needed candidates and understand current talent acquisition practices, conditions, and risks
[In real-time] Collect, analyze and interpret external candidate data (salaries, uplifts, rotations, etc.) to collaborate with the wider HR team
.
The Recruitment Advisor is responsible to facilitate and manage the end-to-end recruitment process
Direct sourcing/Headhunt to promote and sell the Kinross employment brand effectively and professionally to candidates
Provide complete and accurate information to candidates about available opportunities
Leverage online and social media recruiting resources to develop talent pipelines
Develop and manage ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies
Develop an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire as succession planning needs dictate
Evaluate recruitment events and campaigns based upon cost-effectiveness and ability to attract
Leverage the Kinross applicant tracking system in all recruitment processes and ensure that information on candidates and their status is recorded in a timely and accurate manner
Prepare short-lists of qualified candidates and present top candidates to client teams
Coordinate and manage phone and site interviews
Prepare and share post-interview debrief/feedback with interview teams and coach advise on next steps and hiring decisions
Manage and coordinate pre-employment screening and candidate communications (coordinate background, offer, regret correspondence, etc.)

Act as a single point of contact for all recruitment process stakeholders both internally and externally to facilitate communication and ensure high-quality client and candidate experience
Manage and coordinate communication with candidates, hiring managers, human resource leaders, internal support teams, and other key stakeholders
Addresses and creatively resolves unforeseen and emergent issues and problems that would otherwise inhibit the recruitment process
Effectively builds and manages strong professional relationships with hiring managers, operations management, HR management, vendors, candidates, and other key stakeholders
Gather stakeholder and client feedback, analyze and suggest improvements to adjust performance and process as needed to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and service standards

Partner with schools and develop relationships to promote opportunities at Kinross Gold.
Having deep market knowledge on campus trends which will help determine changes and shifts needed to improve these processes and overall delivery strategy
Partner with internal stakeholders to continuously improve Campus Recruiting
Understand recruiting needs and develop strategies to meet hiring goals
Scope of Responsibility & Complexity
Able to operate independently and under limited direction. Recognized as an expert recruiter in mining or related industry and is able to provide guidance and advice to others in the recruitment function on best practice and new, innovative and leading approaches to solve issues and achieve results. Problem resolution requires resourcefulness and sound judgment to adapt and apply procedures in unusual situations. Work has significant impact on the function's quality of support, speed, and effectiveness, which may have a significant impact on the productivity and performance of operations and project teams. Covers multiple locations or complex operations.
Education and Experience
Post-secondary in Human Resources, Business or a related field
3 - 5 years of recruitment experience
1+ years of campus recruitment experience
Experience in the mining industry or related industry (i.e. gas & oil) is an asset
Recruitment and placement of expatriate and international candidates is an asset
Spanish, French, Russian, or Arabic language skills considered an asset
Proficiency in recruitment management system software and Microsoft Office
Demonstrate excellent business acumen
Design and execute full-cycle recruitment campaigns and processes
Exhibit formidable interpersonal and relationship management skills
Creatively solve complex interpersonal and business issues
Exhibit excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
