The Kinross Corporate Head Office is located in downtown Toronto and supports Kinross' operations and projects worldwide. Corporate functions include Finance, Procurement, Health & Safety, Human Resources, IT, Investor Relations, Exploration, Geology and Mine Planning, among others.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to support our Human Resources team from the Kinross Corporate office located in downtown, Toronto. You will be supporting the Corporate Human Resources and Corporate Global Mobility teams, receiving tasks from several team members which will comprise your day-to-day work in addition to urgent support in varying capacities. Job Responsibilities

  • Produce data and metrics from HR databases for reporting purposes.
  • Populate and keep HR databases up-to-date.
  • Populate and keep vendor databases up-to-date.
  • Initiate vendor services.
  • Use of templates for preparation of HR documents for all employees, e.g., offer letters, variations of contract, employment letters and verifications.
  • Invoicing, from receipt, coding, approval process for payment, along with tracking, filing and reporting on.
  • Assisting with payroll inputs.
  • Manage tax repayment database.
  • Set up Microsoft Teams meetings, prepare agendas and manage Teams group tracker.
  • Attend meetings, record minutes with action items and carry out appropriate follow-ups.
  • Learn new application systems to maintain ongoing service and support of our internal clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain employee virtual and physical files.
  • Ad hoc administration tasks as required.


Education and Experience

The ideal candidate must have:
  • 2 - 3 years of administration experience.
  • High level technical skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize to deal with ongoing and multiple tasks and activities.
  • Experience working with confidential information. Use good judgement and discretion.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Professional, personable and highly adept to work in-person, over the phone, email or Teams.
  • Must be resourceful and creative problem solver.
  • Proactive self-starter with abilities to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment.


The ideal candidate nice to have
  • Completed post-secondary education is a strong asset
  • Experience using HRIS and ATS applications is a strong asset
  • Experience using Concur, JDE and Teams is a strong asset
