The MEM Technology Specialist is reporting to MEM Mine Technology Supervisor within the MEM department and is responsible for monitoring and improving both onboard and fixed Mine technology's infrastructure components and availability through effective servicing and execution of preventative maintenance tasks.
Responsabilités associées au poste
Includes but not limited to:
• Install, maintain, optimize and continuously improve many mine technology equipment, including equipment guidance, production tracking systems, hardware and software
• Plan and maintain the GPS, two-way radio, FLIR and Color PTZ camera and wireless mesh network or any other technology based equipment on a large scale mine site
• Identifies process and utilization of technology to improve efficiency
• Monitor and action wireless network related issues
• Ensures quality and quantity of all maintenance and development activities pertaining to Mine Technology.
• Implements approved modifications to existing systems to improve reliability and operating effectiveness - both in terms of data infrastructure and hardware installations.
• Liaises with all stake holders throughout the business to use Technology to solve problems and exploit opportunities for more efficient mining and processing.
• Documents the installation of new systems as required.
• Ensure all section tasks performed are within the compliance of Kinross safe operating procedures, standard job guidelines and if not, a comprehensive job safety analysis is performed
• Provide a safe, efficient and effective work place.
Études et expérience
Mandatory Requirements for this position:
• Diploma in Engineering (Information Technology, Electronics or equivalent)
• Four years of experience with mining fleet management and high-precision guidance systems and hardware installations
• Ability to effectively plan tasks and set priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent level in French or Arabic and good level in English ( Written and Oral)
• Ability to work with others in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative
• High level of self-motivation and passion for Technology
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi task in a high pressured environment.
Hardware Specialty:
• 2+ years' experience installing and/or maintaining DC electrical systems to the highest standards.
• 2+ years' experience installing and maintaining Mine Technology hardware related to Modular Mining Dispatch, Aquila Machine guidance, Provision Machine Guidance and/or other applicable hardware.
• Able to design and implement installation of new systems on different types of equipment.
