Our client, a well funded leading private equity investor into the global mining sector, is seeking a dynamic geology professional to support its global activities. The VP - Geology will ensure that corporate and market resource and reserve reporting is completed accurately and on time. S/he will provide technical support to the portfolio of companies and projects under evaluation in the fields of structural geology, geostatistics, drill programs, resources modeling and mineral reserves estimating.
Role & Responsibilities:
Geological due-diligence, evaluation of exploration upside, assessment of geological and resource models, drilling budgets, geological modelling. Present geological concepts and resource estimates to the financial community. Provide support and guidance on exploration work projects. Keep abreast on mineral resources and mineral estimation standards and practices and improve our client's mineral resources and mineral reserves estimation techniques. Preparation and support of 43-101 reports and disclosure
Skills & Qualifications
10-15 yrs technical leadership experience, ideally with a combination of operations and consulting. Qualified Person Experience across a wide commodity spectrum. Strong interpersonal skills, organizational, technical and analytical skills Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations Ability to travel internationally
Compensation :
