Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, winter sports and lake country then this is an area you will love to live and work in.
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor, the Millwright is to conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and make repairs as required on process plant equipment throughout the mine site.
• Maintain crushers, grinding mills, and process plant equipment
• Provide input into planning weekly and annual maintenance
• Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out in a cost-effective manner
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as required
• Ensure that all breakdowns are attended to immediately
• Provide input into the development and updating of preventative maintenance systems, spare parts programs, maintenance practices and infrastructure issues
Requirements
• Journeyman Millwright Ticket required
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience
• Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
Rainy River Site Details
• This position requires the candidate to work 7/7 rotation (one rotation of day and then one rotation of nights), 12 hour days
• Camp and Travel allowance
• Competitive Salary and Benefits provided (Benefits start on day one of Employment)
