The Supervisor - Mobile Maintenance Production is responsible for leading the Mobile Maintenance team to ensure all work is carried out in a safe, structured, and timely manner while maintaining absolute compliance with legal requirement and company objectives. This individual provides support to develop, coach and mentor team members to continuously improve their knowledge, skills, and relationships.

This is a temporary, 1 year term position.

Accountabilities:

The Supervisor - Mobile Maintenance Production is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of all mobile productions, service, and support equipment to fully support all mining and processing activities on site. Reporting to the General Foreman - Mobile Maintenance, this position will supervise a team of mechanics, welders, servicemen, lube techs, steamers, and apprentices. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Strong commitment and adherence to all Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Supervising, mentoring, training and development of maintenance employees and apprentices
  • Leading and coordinating maintenance of production, service, and support equipment
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease repair times and streamline work processes
  • Use of computer to input time sheets, work orders, parts lists, pick tickets, equipment information, troubleshooting feedback and shift turnover notes

Qualifications & Experience:
  • BC Mines Supervisor Certificate required
  • 5+ years maintenance supervisory experience within an industrial setting required
  • Trades related experience and knowledge of Caterpillar SIS, Komatsu, Hitachi, John Deere and Cummins service programs is considered an asset
  • Welding experience or supervision of welders in an industrial shop setting is preferred
  • Journeyman HD Equipment Technician Interprovincial Red Seal Certification is preferred (Other trade-related tickets and certificates are considered an asset)
  • Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Safety-related training and experience considered an asset
  • Maintenance repair experience with Caterpillar haul trucks, dozers, graders, Hitachi and Komatsu hydraulic excavators and shovels, P&H 2800XPB shovel and Atlas Copco drills is preferred
