The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Technician - Mechanical to join the Mobile Maintenance team at Lihir. Reporting to the Supervisor - Mechanical, you will provide mechanical fitting services on mobile fleet units within an open pit environment.

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Technician - Mechanical to join the Mobile Maintenance team at Lihir. Reporting to the Supervisor - Mechanical, you will provide mechanical fitting services on mobile fleet units within an open pit environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- 5 years of relevant work experience in heavy industry preferably within a mining environment is essential.
- Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or Heavy Equipment Fitting is essential.
- Experience with Hitachi 2600, O&K RH200, D65 drill, D55, Sandvik drills, PV271 Pitviper Drill.
- Relevant experience in maintaining equipment in the mobile fleet.
- High level of competency in using OEM System Software especially Caterpillar E.T and Cummins Insight.
- High-Risk Licenses, ie: Safe Working at Heights, Forklift, Dogging, Rigging desirable.
- Experience with SAP highly desirable
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously from time to time.
- High attention to detail with good time management skills.
- Strong active listening & interpersonal skills.
- Genuine commitment to safety and personal interest in following of Newcrest covid safe policies.
Mobilisation Requirements:
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment and a police check.
