We offer several designated marshalling points within BC including Nanaimo, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Williams Lake, Prince George, Smithers, and Calgary AB.

Reporting to the General Foreman - Mine Operations, the Shift Supervisor will be a key member of the Mine Operations team providing leadership and direction to the production employees.

Responsibilities:
  • Promoting safety as priority and managing to always ensure safe operations
  • Managing multiple crews and job tasks
  • Monitoring weekly schedules, time sheets, daily shift log and production reports
  • Demonstrating continuous effort to improve operations
  • Developing, coaching, mentoring, and identifying training needs for employees
  • Ensuring compliance with NRCML Health and Safety program
  • Ensuring compliance with the environmental program
  • Ensuring compliance with all quality, schedule, and security requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of progressive supervisory experience
  • Valid Mine Supervisor Certification
  • Minimum 5 years' shovel & truck experience in open pit mining
  • Valid OFA level 1 first aid ticket (minimum)
  • Knowledge of drill and blast
  • Valid driver's license
  • Working knowledge of MS software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A team player that works well with others
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
