Cadia Valley Operations is located in Central Western New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional township of Orange and a convenient three hours from the capital city of Sydney. Employees reside in varied accommodation options in and around the district of Orange with the surrounding area's occupied by wineries, stone fruit orchards, farming and national parks.
Employees have access to the area's wide range of amenities, including a prominent health sector with a modern well-equipped regional hospital, excellent educational facilities, shopping, large selection of sport and recreation options, transport and other services such as childcare.
Who we're looking for
As the Environmental & Community Advisor, you will be required to support with management of the Cadia farmland portfolio by driving initiatives that align with our social licence to operate, support our Agistees while enhancing our farming assets to be profitable farming enterprises following mine closure.
Reporting to the Superintendent - Social Performance, you will develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with local landholders and other community members relating to, agriculture, stakeholder engagement, community program delivery and external communications.

As a compassionate and understanding Environmental and Community Advisor, you will have the natural ability to multitask and problem-solve. You must have ability to work autonomously, whilst being able to positively engage and influence key stakeholders.
Please note: This role is a Monday to Friday, 5/2 roster and there may be after hours work required.

- Implement the Cadia Farmland Strategy and conduct regular reviews of associated documents
- Ensure all activities are carried out consistent with the Safety & Social Performance Management systems
- Develop and implement programs to address social performance risks and ease stakeholder concerns regarding direct impacts
- Develop work plans, budgets, procedures, presentations and performance reports
- Develop stakeholder relationships and strategic partnerships
- Complete miscellaneous assigned social performance projects within time, cost, and quality parameters
- Support and coordinate the Cadia District Enhancement Project (CDEP)
- Development of key procedures and documents to meet the Social Performance Management System Framework
- Supervise contractors as required to deliver the Cadia farmland strategy and CDEP works program
As a compassionate and understanding Environmental and Community Advisor, you will have the natural ability to multitask and problem-solve. You must have ability to work autonomously, whilst being able to positively engage and influence key stakeholders.
- 5+ years' experience in a social performance or agricultural related discipline, preferably in an industry resource sector field
- Qualifications relevant to environment, business or social performance
- Extensive experience in community consultation regarding social performance impacts, communicating with a diverse range or rural stakeholders, running meetings, organising events and developing written communications for a range of stakeholder needs
- Current manual drivers' licence is essential
