You will deliver value by:
  • Driving and influencing proactive safety behaviours within workgroups through visible leadership.
  • Ensuring all personnel, visitors and contractors comply with site and contractual HSE requirements and hold people accountable for adherence.
  • Planning work so that it can be conducted safely, considering environmental conditions, nearby activities, people and other resources needed to complete the work.
  • Assisting to develop procedures and training programs for plant maintenance projects & improvement initiatives that may arise in the Belts & Rubber, Crushing and equipment, facilities and ancillary areas.
  • Actively participating in scheduling and implementation of planned maintenance tasks, and assists the Supervisor in the direction of team members.
  • Ensuing plant availability and reliability is maintained in an environment of conflicting maintenance and operational requirements in a technically complex operation.
  • Providing technical advice & expertise to the Asset Management group and demonstrates behaviours to ensure work practice efficiency and quality

Essential Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience
  • Grade 10 or Higher Scholl Certificate
  • Certificate IV in Conveyor Splicing or Rubber Lining
  • Mechanical Engineering trades qualification or certification essential.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.

Desirable criteria
  • Working at heights certificate
  • Confined space entry certificate
  • Overhead travelling crane operation certificate
  • Rigging or dogging certificated
  • PNG Driver's Licence - Class 6
  • Certificate in Workplace Assessment and Training or similar

The Requirements
  • Must be open to FIFO in PNG.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment.
  • Must have proof of a completed Police Clearance within the last six months.
