Operations near and far

Our Cadia site is located in Central West New South Wales, approximately 25 km outside the vibrant regional town of Orange and a three-hour drive from Sydney. Employees reside in the varied accommodation options in Orange, with the surrounding winery and national park areas to enjoy. Have access to the area's wide range of amenities, including a prominent health sector, excellent educational facilities, shopping, transport, and other services such as childcare.

Who are we looking for

We are currently seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join our rapidly growing team at Cadia. You will be responsible for the planning and implementation of mine planning projects for PC2-3, and providing required operational technical support for the PC2-3 Project.

Key deliverables include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide development operations technical support (AFCs/Memo, Bogging Plans, Raiseboring, Firing Checklists, JSEAs etc)
  • Provide necessary technical planning inputs into the weekly & RMP Schedule
  • Performance Obeya support including weekly & RMP compliance analysis
  • ADHOC project work as per operation requirement
  • Improvement analysis & implementation
  • Providing mining engineer support inclusive of design, ventilation, operational engineering, and scheduling

As the ideal candidate, you will have proven skills as a Mining Engineer, with a proactive to your work. You will enjoy challenges and through excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach, you will work seamlessly with various stakeholders to achieve the required safety, operational and commercial outcomes.

In addition, you will also have:
  • A Mining Engineer qualification
  • Exposure to large projects or mine planning
  • At least 12 months underground/hard rock practical experience
  • Finished or close to finishing Graduate Program
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Good initiative, and ability to work autonomously
  • A full manual driver's license

Please note: This role runs on a 7/7 roster, days only, based at our Cadia site.
