We are seeking 2 individuals to join our Fixed Assets Team at Red Chris Mine for a fly in fly out opportunity.

Who we're looking for:

We are looking for a Condition Monitoring Technician to identify and manage asset risks that could adversely affect our business operations. Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent, the role is focused on lowering costs, and improving productivity by addressing loss elimination, risk management and life cycle asset management.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Perform Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic Thickness inspection of structural elements of the mobile fleet, fixed plant equipment, tools, and jigs
• Collaborate with trades, participate in the Preventative Maintenance program, assist with troubleshooting, and recommend repairs
• Work closely with the reliability, planning, and execution teams to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Diagnose Equipment Faults using Oil Analysis and Vibration Analysis and thermography data
• Analyze condition monitoring data, build equipment condition reports, and request subsequent repair work using SAP.
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, in compliance with safety regulations

Qualifications & Experience:

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work safely in a heavy industrial setting and a demonstrated track record of problem-solving abilities. The following qualifications are preferred:
  • Trade qualification or technologist diploma is preferred
  • Certified in accordance with the Canadian General Standards Board in: Magnetic Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Demonstrated experience with Non-destructive material testing essential
  • Experience or Certification in oil analysis, infrared thermography, and vibration monitoring is considered an asset
  • Strong digital literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite®: Outlook, Word, and Excel
