Join our Mining Projects team based at our Cadia site! - We are now recruiting for the Position of Administration Assistant - this is a fixed term position within the team and plays a key role in providing effective, efficient, professional administrative support to the Mining Projects team surrounding roster management, contract admin, purchasing assistance, and ad hoc requests as they arise.

Who we're looking for

As our preferred candidate, you are highly organised, great attention to detail and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a real "can-do" attitude.

The role will involve:

  • Day to day support in providing administrative support to the Mining Projects team through effective management of meetings and events as required (booking venues, catering, agendas, minutes and supporting documents) inclusive of assistance with and coordination of corporate and external visitors.
  • Contribution to the effectiveness of the Mining Projects Team by participating and coordinating projects.
  • Coordinate and arrange travel requests as required and ensure travel is to be booked in the most cost-effective method.
  • Coordinate and arrange accommodation for FIFO/DIDO employees, including roster and leave tracking.
  • Balance workload in an environment often of conflicting priorities, of a fast paced, dynamic and challenging nature.
  • Raise Purchase Requests and Service Entry Sheets in SAP as required.
  • Manage your own time and coordinate with the broader administration team members, including work delegation and general communication.
  • Active Business Improvement participation & problem solving.

This can be a development opportunity for someone who enjoys admin work with some proficiency with the MS Office suite and for someone who enjoys a role that is diverse - no day is the same! You will also be flexible and have a willingness to learn and grow in the projects space with the ability to multi task and manage conflicting priorities.
