The Opportunity:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Document Controller to join our Vancouver Regional Office.

The successful candidate will support the creation of and maintenance of controlled documents across the Western Canadian region, including both the Brucejack and Red Chris sites and the Vancouver Regional Office. Focusing on providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective document control of full project lifecycles in accordance with statutory requirements and company objectives.
  • The key outcomes for the Document Controller focused on operational discipline and continuous improvement are:
  • Support operational discipline with document control in alignment with business priorities through clearly defining what is expected, ensuring understanding of expectations, and verifying that expectations are delivered upon
  • Support the implementation of document control to maximize asset potential and deliver on the plans
  • Support the identification and management of document control risk through compliance with risk management processes and practices
  • Lead the ongoing delivery of document control processes
  • Monitor, audit, and report on non-compliance to document control
  • Maintain document control systems to auditable standards.

Technical
  • Maintain the Newcrest Red Chris and Brucejack Document Control Process
  • Create and manage the naming convention for Newcrest regional operations
  • Develop and recommend document control plans to Project Owners/Managers
  • Maintain project related document control register
  • Develop document flow to and from all necessary parties

About You:
  • Business Administration Certificate or Bachelors degree in related field
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an administrative support role with a global company
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize based on business demands
  • Role-models Newcrest values, champions inclusion
  • Communicates effectively with managers, superintendents and site
  • Collaborates with teams and site personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient at all things Microsoft office related, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Previous experience in a Document Control position
