You will deliver value by:
  • Supervising team members in operational and maintenance activities within the Asset Management area and related infrastructure including monitoring general performance and equipment shutdowns
  • Assisting in the management of SOP creation, review, training and updates, shift reports and SAP work request lodgments
  • Ensuring that all operators on the shift carry out isolations and issue safe work permits for maintenance work in accordance with the site Permit to Work system.
  • Creating opportunities for people to work together to enable them to contribute to the business and learn from each other

Essential Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in Belt splicing, rubber lining and conveyors.
  • Strong mechanical skills from working on fixed assets including mills, crushers,
  • Skilled in the use of the SAP software to manage the day to day planning and scheduling of maintenance activities.
  • Certificate in Belt Splicing
  • Relevant Trade Certificate Mechanical Fitters or similar.

  • Computer proficiency in MS Office suite, excel and word.
  • Leadership and Management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution & training

Mobilisation Requirements:
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment
  • Must have proof of a completed Police Clearance within the last 6 months
  • PNG Driver's Licence - Class 6
