Purpose of the Role:

The Assay Lab is responsible for safe, quality data analysis and reporting for process control and validation samples for mill and mine operations customers.

We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.

Accountabilities:

• Strong commitment and adherence to all Safety Policies and Procedures
• Follow all operational and quality control SOPs
• Collection of samples
• Daily sample analysis using Good Laboratory Practices
• Data analysis and validation
• Instrument calibration and maintenance
• Reagent and stock solution preparation and maintenance
• Housekeeping of working areas
• Inventory control and reporting
• Any other assignments or projects assigned by the Assay Lab Supervisor

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in wet assaying and/or fire assaying
• Diploma or degree in Chemistry, considered an asset
• Assayer certification considered an asset
• Demonstrate safe and healthy work practices.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision once familiar with requirements
• A team player that works well with others
• Must have time management skills, strong attention to detail and work well under pressure
• Competent in instrumentation including AA; C&S Analyser: Hg Analyser and other supporting laboratory equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting
• Computer skills involving instrument software, MS Office suite and LIMS
• Valid driver's licence required
• Physically fit and able to lift 20kg of weight as part of the daily routine
• Strong oral and written communication skills
