Role Purpose

The Site Services Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for accurate and high-quality Planning and Scheduling of all Site Services corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance carried out on assets in FPM Maintenance. Activities will be coordinated with maintenance, supply, operational and reliability functions in order to create safety-focused work packs to deliver availability and reliability of Site Services assets.

We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.

Accountabilities:

Health & Safety
  • Follow and comply with the Newcrest and Red Chris health & safety standards, procedures, guidelines and rules and encourage others to do so. Do not tolerate, accept or walk past non-compliance to safety standards, procedures, guidelines and rules
  • Ensure the safety of yourself and all other people under your control
  • Actively participate in the Red Chris safety initiatives
  • Ensure statutory requirements are met under your control
  • Spend at least 60 minutes per working week in the field to positively interact with workers and to improve the safety culture on site
  • Maintain a safe workplace compliant with regulations and Newcrest policies, procedures and standards
  • Ensure all NewSafe initiatives are supported and actioned in a timely manner

Maintenance Planning/Scheduling
  • Responsible for all work marked with a Planner Group of 05M
  • Adherence to Newcrest Maintenance Business Process for Planning work
  • Plan any work order to fully comply with Newcrest's Planning Guideline before it is marked as
    PLND to ensure it is of high quality
  • Prepare detailed work plans that include personnel, plant, equipment and parts availability for the
    safe, timely and successful execution of work orders
  • Build robust work packs including Safe Work Instructions, checklists, safety documentation and
    any associated drawings or reference material to assist with the efficiency of the job
  • Adherence to Newcrest Maintenance Business Process for Scheduling work and creating a final
    schedule weekly
  • Develop and Maintain 3 week look ahead schedule to a high standard
  • Ensure the schedule has the following
    o Maximised resource value
    o Streamlined workflow
    o Minimised impact on plant or equipment productivity, and
    o Fully utilised available downtime
  • Activily prioritizing to ensure work backlog is managed and overdue work is communicated to the
    Site Maintennance team for mitigation of at risk assets
  • Make sure all maintenance activities can be carried out in accordance with all applicable standards and regulations


Master Data Maintenance (Recommend to Master Data Specialist)
  • Action Activity Report (AR) Notifications assigned to the Planner for the upkeep and improvement
    of Newcrest's CMMS Master Data
  • Actively maintain component counters, component history and annual estimates
  • Actively develop and improve existing Task List's to increase master data quality and streamline
    the planning process
  • Development and improvement of Maintenance Plan's when required
  • Continuously monitor maintenance and operation strategies and suggest improvements where
    identified

Leadership

Other Duties
  • Responsible for development and maintenance of both physical and financial budgeting practices
  • Actively look for and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Maintain high levels of communication with team members and stakeholders
  • Understand and monitor KPI's to drive compliance and assist with budget and cost control
    processes
  • Provide a flexible work group in the event of an unplanned absence
  • Facilitate weekly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) review meetings to develop improvements and
    drive compliance to the MBP
  • Work with reliability teams to achieve best value on component life cycles


Qualifications & Experience:
  • Red Seal Trade qualification or Engineering designation (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of Maintenance Planning & Scheduling (essential)
  • Holder of or capability of obtaining an MMP (Maintenance Management Professional) or CMRP (Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional) designation (desired)


Technical Capabilities
  • Proficiently run meetings and get consensus and agreement to action decisions
  • Ability to communicate and execute the Newcrest Maintenance Business Processes (MBP)
  • Ability to manage SAP transactional and master data to Newcrest Asset Management guidelines


Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Proficient with MS Windows and Office products (essential)
  • Working knowledge of SAP PM and MM (essential)
  • Proficient with the interpretation of technical manual, blueprints, and process instrumentation drawings
  • Working experience with Copper & Gold Mine Fixed Plant Maintenance
