Position Scope

The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for 777 Rock Truck Driver for work located at our client site in the Northwest Territories.

Responsibilities

  • Skilled operation of all rock truck functions including: staging, hauling and dumping;
  • Conduct pre-shift/post-shift walk-around safety inspections;
  • Actively participate in daily toolbox meeting and complete daily FLRA card;
  • Log and report any maintenance concerns with the equipment;
  • Coordinate grader activities with the excavator and truck operators;
  • Complete production reporting and other documentation as required;
  • Communicate effectively using hand signal and eye contact method;
  • Other construction related duties as required.


Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years operating a 40-ton articulated truck in an earth work site environment.
  • Class 1, 3, or 5 Drivers License and clean Driver's Abstract,
  • Previous camp experience in mining/construction setting an asset,
  • Capable of working independently in a fast paced environment with good safety awareness,
  • Experience with radio communications and protocols.

This is camp position, with an anticipated rotation of 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off, 12 hour shifts. Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
