The General Manager will be an integral part of the corporate management team reporting directly to the COO. The position will be responsible for all aspects of the mine; to include budgeting, mine planning, staff management, permitting, production and safety.

Reporting to the General Manager are the following positions: Environmental Superintendent, Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, Mine Operations Superintendent, Technical Services Manager, Process Manager, Crusher/ Site Maintenance Superintendent, Finance Manager, Human Resources Manager and Safety/Health/Security Superintendent.

The GM will be instrumental in setting a positive, productive and growth-oriented culture for the mine.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

•Being responsible for coordinating and managing all the activities required to reach the planned objectives of the operation and organization as a whole.

•Leading a culture of accountability throughout the organization, including setting operational goals which are aggressive and tied to the long-term goals of the business.

•Maintaining a good atmosphere and healthy open working relations in all departments.

•Encouraging platforms of opportunity to encourage expansive progressive thinking to be heard.

•Must take a personal and active approach to health, safety and environment and understand and follow all state, federal and company health, safety and environmental requirements applicable to the work area and tasks assigned.

•Searching for continual improvement at the mine and within the organization.

•Recommending an annual budget of production goals.

•Controlling annual operating budget and capital budget.

•Reporting & communicating operational Key Performance Indicators with senior management.

Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required, advanced degree preferred

•Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in mining operations with broad knowledge and understanding of all key aspects of operations, including but not limited to open pit mining, reclamation, processing, maintenance, finance and administration, health and safety, sustainability, and human resources

•Experience with Open Pit & Heap Leach Mining Operations

•Extensive People Management Experience required

•Proven Problem Solving and Decision-making Skills required

•Proven Ability to build relationships and work well across functions

•Ability to set direction for multiple goals and achieve buy-in of leadership team

•Proven experience in evaluating the effectiveness of production plans and recommending alternative procedures.

•Demonstrated experience in setting and executing a production, financial, and capital budget and ensuring adherence

•Ability to lead the company culture by demonstrating respect for the Company values
