Job Summary:

The Field Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordination of Mobile Equipment maintenance, Capital Asset management and work order implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage equipment fleet maintenance schedule using SAP Software
  • Develop work orders from labour and equipment estimates
  • Track daily efforts on work orders to ensure timeline, cost and labour is in line with budget
  • Ensure all required mechanical repairs, maintenance, testing, and installations are completed properly, i.e. to regulatory and company specifications, and on time
  • Act as back up to Superintendent, Equipment, Parts Coordinator for absences.
  • Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information.
  • Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Superintendent

Required Skills and Qualifications:


Required: High School Diploma plus licensed trade

Preferred: Degree or Diploma in mechanical or maintenance plus licensed trade

Work Experience:

Required: 5 years' experience as a maintenance planner

  • Extensive technical/mechanical knowledge of mining equipment and techniques

  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Health and Safety:
  • Having the authority and responsibility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Following Company health and safety standards and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to Supervisor.
  • Responsible for the use of all safety equipment, i.e. lanyards, warning signs and labeling, according to Company rules and applicable legislation and ensures the proper use of personal protective equipment
