About the Project

Olympic Dam Mine, operated by the largest mining company in the world, BHPB is approximately 550km North-West of Adelaide mining copper, gold and uranium. Redpath provide the safe delivery of development, ground support, services and equipment maintenance through the utilisation of 40 major items of plant, 3 maintenance workshops and specialist modern tooling. As the largest contractor on site you will gain valuable experience to help grow your career.

The role involves
  • assist Shotcrete Operator with set up of rigs;
  • assisting with the safe, effective and productive operation of the shotcrete machine in the application of primary ground support;
  • provide a high standard of service focusing on the application of primary ground support to a standard that exceeds the sites quality assurance compliance;
  • participate in maintaining the batch plant and surrounding areas to a high standard;
  • assist with installation of ground support;
  • ensure sufficient consumables and supplies are available for development activities;
  • perform minor machine maintenance;
  • maintain high standard of housekeeping on equipment and in headings.

We are looking for
  • Previous experience with the operation of Sandvick, Normet and Jacon Maxijet shotcreting machinery in an underground environment;(desirable)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with the operation of agitator trucks, batch plants, batching shotcrete and normal class concrete (desirable)
  • experience using earth moving equipment;
  • operating concrete pumping machinery and equipment;
  • Current First Aid & CPR qualifications;
  • The ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised;
  • A work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto Consider in done - safely.
