We are looking for an optimisation focused Automation Engineer to get the best out of our manufacturing equipment across site. This role is a great opportunity to use your skills and experience with PLC programming to improve the performance of key equipment across site. In this role you will collaborate with Maintenance and Production teams to:
  • Identify performance gaps
  • Use programming tools to resolve those gaps
  • Follow the change control system to safely implement changes

What you'll bring
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • This is a collaborative role and excellent communication skills and the ability to network with people at all levels of the business are essential.
  • A high level of drive and the ability to prioritise work according to business objectives
  • Proven, practical experience in machinery optimisation using PLC programming tools. Your core training can come from an academic or trades background
  • Experience in a similar role in a heavy industry environment
  • Experience in PLC programming (Unity Pro, ProWorx NxT, Concept, Studio 5000/ RS Logix), SCADAs (Ifix), HMIs (Red Lion ) and OPC servers/clients is essential.
  • Class 1 Drivers Licence
