We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to be part of our data integration team responsible for the enterprise data platforms used by Rio Tinto ML scientists, data engineers and data analysts worldwide.

Reporting to the Technical Delivery Lead and working in a collaborative and exciting environment within our global Information Systems and Technology team you will:
  • Drive the platform UX/UI design, development and quality standards
  • Hands-on develop features and improvements to the Data Integration platform web application in a secure, well-tested, and performant way
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineers, Cyber and other stakeholders to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment
  • Lead meaningful code reviews & documentation
  • Collaborate with and mentor junior members of the team

What you'll bring
  • Great experience across frontend and backend with a strong depth of knowledge in JavaScript
  • Experience developing rich applications with HTML/CSS/JS
  • Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose thorough iterative solutions
  • Good understanding and experience measuring non-functionals, like reliability, availability, security and performance
  • Aspiration toward building our culture of collaboration, inclusion, and learning

It is not required but would be beneficial if you have:
  • Experience in data engineering domain (ETL, Presto, Hive, etc.)
  • Experience with DevOps ecosystem concerning tooling, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, Infrastructure as Code
  • Certified in Azure and/or AWS
