We are looking for Drill and Blast Engineers to join our dynamic Mine Technical Services teams in the Pilbara. These key roles are responsible for drill and blast design and planning activities for the mining operations in order to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of the mine plan.

Our family friendly 8 days on, 6 days off roster will enable you to spend more quality time with your loved ones. When onsite, you will be involved in creating effective drill patterns, electronic initiation and charging designs and explore new ways to increase drill and blast productivity. You will utilise your engagement skills to effectively liaise with operational supervisors to get your designs implemented in the field. Additionally, these opportunities will see you work with the latest technologies, using drones for blast capture and RTVis™ 3D visualisation technology for real-time drill unit performance tracking!

About you

With tertiary qualifications in mining engineering or another mining related field, you will have demonstrated drill and blast experience within an open cut mining environment - preferably iron ore. You will have a working knowledge of business and 3D mining software such as Vulcan and Blast Plan, and have the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

A current C Class driver's licence is required and the ability to obtain and maintain a dangerous goods security card will be well regarded. Prior drill and blast design experience along with wall control and vibration modelling experience will be advantageous.
