We're expanding our operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Drill Fitter to perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across our extensive fleet of Drill Rigg Mobile equipment.

What will you do?

This residential role means you are home after every shift., working 3 days on, 3 nights on, 6 days off and reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with all RTIO Company Policies and procedures
  • Conduct routine inspections of the drill fleet and determine repair action when required
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects increasing safety whilst reducing risk & cost
  • Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard / specification
  • Ensure that maintenance standards are kept at a high quality
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the equipment or work procedures

What do you need to have?

To be considered for this role you should have:
  • Certificate III in engineering Heavy Duty Fitter or Plant Mechanic Trade Qualification
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Cubex, Atlas Copco, Sandvik and Reed Drill Rigs.
  • Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
  • An Australian C Class manual drivers' licence or higher HR Licence
  • High Risk Licences Forklift, Working at Heights, Dogging, Elevated Work Platforms
  • A strong commitment to safety
  • Previous experience with SAP or similar maintenance system
