About the role

We are looking for a motivated Plant Fitter to maintain a variety of fixed plant equipment.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who has a strong work ethic and a 'can do' attitude along with experience in fixed plants and reclaim & ship loading assets.

Reporting to the Northern Operations Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be:
  • Carrying out maintenance work as required including conducting preventative and planned maintenance activities;
  • Supporting the Shift Plant Fitters to resolves breakdowns and cover planned and unplanned absences;
  • Identifying & Supporting improvements to our mineral processing process which includes; wash plant, piping and pumping of slurries as well as conveyors, and Rail Mounted Machinery;
  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety in order to achieve a workplace target of zero injuries and incidents.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • Mechanical Fitting trade with a solid background maintaining fixed plant equipment
  • Experience in an ore processing facility and rail mounted machinery
  • A current manual "C" class driver's licence
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and team skills
  • Exposure to basic computer skills
