Process Technician CBF4 Rebuild Project

About the role

We are looking for a Process Technician to join the upcoming Carbon Bake Furnace Rebuild project, assisting with delivering this project to the highest possible safety and quality standards.

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced Process Technician who is keen to build on their experience, work as part of a team and is passionate about providing a high level of support. Working a day shift roster and reporting to the Specialist Site Refractory, you will be:
  • Supporting the overall delivery of the Carbon Bake Rebuild project. Duties include but not limited to Forklift and crane operations, organising and mobilising equipment/material/bricks in advance for rebuilding activities, mixing mortar and castable, unloading trucks, stocktaking, housekeeping, supporting bricklayers with daily tasks.
  • Undertaking tasks within confined spaces, performing work at heights and within a hot environment.
  • Actively participating in Toolbox and Safety Meeting sessions, and honestly reflecting on your crew's previous shift.
  • Identifying safety and process concerns and actively offering solutions to eliminate these risks.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety, with confidence to pause work if a safer option is identified.
  • Heavy industry experience, with exposure to confined spaces and working at heights highly regarded.
  • Forklift and Gantry Crane licences highly regarded.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willing to learn and develop on the job and have the ability to work effectively within a team.
