About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to support the Yarwun Operation with sample preparation and analysis.

This role is a great opportunity for a detail orientated, computer savvy individual who is keen to work in a varied role. Reporting to the Team Leader - Laboratory, you will be:
  • Undertaking the preparation, processing and analysing of samples.
  • Compiling records and producing reports.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and apparatus and preparing solutions and formulations.
  • Ensuring the laboratory is maintained, clean and in an operational state.
  • Applying, improving and optimising the different analytical procedures and methods.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • Basic computer knowledge and application, e.g. MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
  • Strong commitment to health, safety and environment
  • Experience working on shifts including night shifts or work in a plant/manufacturing environment.

It will also be beneficial if you have:
  • Knowledge of and experience in a laboratory role.
