About the role
We are looking for a Technical Specialist I respond to instructions from supervisors, coordinators and supervisors. This individual will address issues raised by any Craftsman (such as uniforms, overtime and administrative forms). The Technical Specialist will also call for appropriate technicians when printers, copiers and various machines within the office breaks down. This individual will also call for over time when immediate needs arise.
The key success to this position will be the applicant's ability to manage weekly work schedules, over time, completing work orders and deliver projects to the committed timeframes.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about overseeing various tasks such as overtime, weekly work schedules, weekly work order packets and maintaining records of completed work orders. Reporting to the Superintendent - Mobile Maintenance, you will:
· Supports in weekly tasks- such as managing overtime, work schedules, maintaining records and work order packets
· Support in monthly tasks such as maintaining work permits
· Support in yearly tasks such as preparing and disseminating yearly work and vacation schedules for the Truck Shop and for each team
· Supports in as needed task, office upkeep, ordering uniforms and winter gear and calling appropriate technicians to repair equipment when an issue arises
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
· A high school diploma or GED
· Ability to work 12 hour shifts
· A constant commitment to approaching tasks safely and intelligently
· 3+ years of Administrative/Office and managing schedules
It will also be beneficial if you have:
· Prior work experience in a mining or industrial setting
