Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent the role of Tradesperson Mechanical will focused on identifying opportunities to extend critical equipment component life and preventing early life equipment failure. With a demonstrated commitment to improving safety, cost and productivity you will follow a structured process to optimise preventative maintenance tactics and minimise overall business costs.

What you'll bring

We are seeking a person with excellent communication skills who has a relevant mechanical trade qualification, preferably in Maintenance and Diagnostics, Fitting and Welding or in a comparable trade. Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems is preferable and prior experience in heavy industry, large scale complex continuous processing operations beneficial.

We require successful candidates to possess a high degree of flexibility and strong problem-solving skills to identify and conduct planned and unplanned repair and diagnostic work within production time constraints on a wide variety of equipment. You will also need to be self-motivated with the desire to learn and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
