About the Role

We are looking for Heavy Duty Fitters who will be responsible for carrying out inspections, scheduled maintenance and breakdown maintenance to our extensive fleet of heavy mobile equipment.

Residential rosters are 4 days on, 4 nights on, 6 days off and we offer fully subsidised housing in town, close to the mining operation. You and your family will be able to explore the incredible Pilbara region while being part of a small, friendly community. Pannawonica offers excellent sporting and recreational facilities as well as a shopping centre, medical and education facilities.

This role is open to applicants who have a desire to permanently relocate to Pannawonica. A site visit will not be possible if you reside outside of Western Australia.

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor and working in a challenging and exciting environment within the Pilbara Mining Operations Mobile Maintenance Team, you will be required to:
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with all RTIO Company Policies and procedures
  • Conduct routine inspections of the mobile maintenance fleet and determine repair action when required
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects increasing safety whilst reducing risk & cost
  • Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard / specification

What you'll bring
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • A Heavy-Duty Fitter or Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate
  • The desire to relocate and live in the Pilbara
  • Current experience in maintaining all open cut mobile mining equipment
  • Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • High Risk Licences Forklift, Working at Heights, Dogging, Elevated Work Platforms
  • An Australian manual drivers' licence
